Hand- embroidered pure pashmina shawl with maple ( chinar ) motifs in bold and bright hues with Sangeen ( Bareek) work. Each leaf is separated from the other with the border and a group of leaves at the ends.
Pashmina is a fine type of cashmere comes from Persian meaning soft and shiny . Known for its profound softness , the shawl is spun from a special type of yarn derived from an Ibex goat , indigenous to Kashmir and the highlands of Ladakh.
Pure Pashmina
Since each individual piece is handcrafted , handwoven and hand embroidered, there may be slight variations in colours and patterns. Every single shawl takes 1-3 years to complete, with master weavers working on it for six hours daily.
